Antique, Modern & Bespoke Furniture

In our workshops we see the widest variety of work you can imagine, from walnut car dashboard parts to mahogany long-case clocks. We have excellent connections and working relationships with all other trades required to offer a complete service, re-upholstery and cleaning of soft furnishings, cabinet repairs, clock restoration, and replacement of glass.

We regularly work with insurance companies and loss adjusters in Middlesbrough to undertake restoration following damage from natural disasters or accidental causes. Please see below for more information.

Antique Furniture

Maintaining the integrity of an antique is crucial in order to also maintain its value. We are always happy to give you help and expert advice, and as one of the most long established French Polishing and restoration companies, we can guarantee to know what kind of treatment your furniture deserves.

We are one of the few companies in the country who genuinely have traditional French Polishing skills, expertise and experience to repair and sympathetically restore your antique furniture and fittings.

For each individual job we work with sensitivity to the age and value of your antique piece, using traditional materials, stains and various shellac French Polishes. We will also handle re-fitting and restoration of leather skivers, replacement of damaged or missing handles, locks, mirrors etc.

We can repair, restore and support the maintenance of all kinds of furniture as well as mantel clocks, jewellery boxes and other such smaller items.

Modern Furniture

Do you have a favourite chair, dining suite, or bedroom furniture that is looking a little worse for wear? Often, furniture that you have loved for a long time is of better quality than that you can replace it with. We can repair scratches and indent damage, remove unsightly ring marks and restore and refinish all kinds of contemporary or reproduction furniture to achieve its full potential. We can also make colour changes to update the look of your furniture and blend with new items in your home.

We can colour blend new and original fittings together to give a cohesive appearance, or age and distress new fittings to make them appear antique.

For smaller accidents such as indent damage or water marks, you may find that your household insurance will cover the full cost of repair and restoration.

Bespoke Furniture

If you are looking for a company who can work with you to achieve excellence in contemporary furniture making, then please give us a call to discuss your requirements. We work with furniture designers and makers from around the country who are of international repute, to ensure their pieces are finished to the highest possible standards. Sometimes this involves us travelling great distances, including Europe and America.

Graham is happy to show you around our workshops, discuss your work in detail and create sample patterns for finishes you are considering. No other company in the country will give you a better personalised and professional service, working to the quality standards necessary to achieve complete satisfaction for your clients.

Whether through flood, fire, impact or any other accidental damage, we are there to ensure that you will be relieved and happy with the restoration of your furniture. From estimate to completion and delivery, we provide a full service to you, to ensure that you get everything back to normal as soon as possible. In cases of extreme disaster, having your own furniture lovingly restored can bring the heart back into a home that may have been completely stripped of all original fittings and carpets.

We offer a full service to support you in your insurance claim, including controlled drying and full repair and restoration of your furniture, including liaison with other trades and craftsmen, such as upholsterers.

For smaller accidental damage, often your household insurance will cover the cost of repair and restoration. If you are handling the claim yourself, call us for damage assessment. We will provide written estimates for your insurance company, and handle the payment process for you.

For damage caused by removals, we will provide the estimates and deal directly with your removal company to ensure swift repair, restoration and return of your furniture. To get started, please drop our team an email.
